The ingredients couldn't be simpler and it's a meal that can be put together in a matter of minutes after it's been in the crockpot several hours.
Creamy Italian Crockpot Chicken
1/2 cup water
2 Tbsp. butter
1 can Cream of Chicken soup
4 to 8 oz. cream cheese (cut into chunks)
1 packet Italian dressing mix
chopped bell peppers (optional)
3-5 chicken breasts (frozen or fresh, whole or cut up into chunks)
Put all ingredients in crock pot and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours. Serve over noodles or rice.
You could customize this recipe by adding in some other veggies too. It's just a great basic crockpot meal that will please the pickiest of eaters. Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the dressing, butter and cream of chicken soup were from Aldi, I almost shed a tear. Oh...how I miss Aldi. We moved from Chicago to CO a few months ago and I still don't know how to shop here. I have not found a good cheap store like Aldi. And don't get me started on no Trader Joe's. I seriously don't know what to do without them. Did you know Aldi and Trader Joe's are owned by the same company?! No wonder I love them.
Where do you live that you get to enjoy Aldi? I miss their 100 calorie snack cookies. Sniff Sniff.
A similar recipe is currently on my "dinners to make" Pinterest board so hopefully I will get around to it soon!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing at Mealtime Monday!
