My daughter and I had a mission this week of putting up a fall-themed mantle. She is passionate about marking the seasons. She is all about the details of creating a celebratory atmosphere, no matter what the occasion. I love that about her. Here's what we came up with for now. It could change as we incorporate some real pumpkins and other elements.
At the center of the mantle is my copper tray find from Goodwill. I just knew it would come in handy. The pretty little floral arrangement was put together by my sweet mom. I love the rich colors of this beautiful season.
In the "Fall" box, I have a large arrangement of flowers that finally bit the dust and needs to be made into a new creation. I'm waiting for my sweet floral-arranging mother to come out for a visit next week to take care of this for me. I did not inherit this ability, I'm sad to say.
The next areas to focus on are my door and entryway. I'm hoping to have those finished by next week. I am pretty pleased with myself, people. Usually, I get my fall decorations up just about the time I should be focusing on Christmas decorations. Have you started decorating for fall yet? Do you go all out and decorate every room of your house or just put some fall touches here and there? I'd love to hear how you mark this glorious season.
I'm linking up at some of these great parties and
